Hi, I’m Alexandra, the CEO of FemAI

Alexandra Wudel is an entrepreneur, researcher, and advisor on the future of AI. As the CEO of FemAI, she has been named as one of 25 global experts on ethical considerations for AI and was awarded the “35 under 35 Young Leaders” titled by Santander CIDOB in 2023. 

Alexandra has contributed to the design of ethical AI guidelines for the General Federal Foreign Ministry, the UN, and the German Parliament. In collaboration with organisations such as Google and Microsoft, Alexandra addresses current gaps in AI regulation, aiming to find the sweet spot in human-machine interactions.

With her feminist vision of positive future with AI, Alexandra has been featured in (inter-)national media such as the Tagesspiegel Background or the Cosmopolitan.

Sich selbst auf dem Cover zu sehen, ist ein unbeschreibliches Gefühl.   • Yeeeaaaah, we celebrate our book chapter submission on rethinking content moderation this week ❤️ Payal Padhy 🔅 3 months of work 🔅 2 different time zones 🔅 cultural dimensions in various scales 🔅 a roundtable with a diverse group of experts 🔅 and 8000 words Our book chapter is going to be part of a broader discussion on AI and culture and would be published by the Edward Elgar Publishing UK. We crafted a framework on how to rethink content moderation from a feminist perspective. ⏏ Where can AI better assist us in mitigating the threats of content moderation? ⏏ What role do cultural dimensions play in content moderation frameworks? As a reminder, the landscape of AI and social media is reliant on content moderation. Therefore, our work will continue by expanding the cultural dimension to include global majority countries - stay tuned! This is a shout out to our network to exchange thoughts about potential collaboration on the topic of ➡ RETHINKING CONTENT MODERATION TO RECLAIM SOCIAL MEDIA. It has been a pleasure collaborating with Payal Padhy (Ethical AI consultant at @femai_centerfeministai ) for the past five months. Despite never meeting in person, the connection we've developed feels like we would be neighbours! 🕶️ instead of 🤳 Just ordered my first Smart Glasses after yesterday’s lunch with @michaeloschmann in Berlin. I am unsure how we, as a society, will keep up with the fast paced change of technology, but (being aware of my privileges here!) I definitely want to test it! @raybanmeta

Yeeeaaaah, we celebrate our book chapter submission on rethinking content moderation this week ❤️ Payal Padhy 🔅 3 months of work 🔅 2 different time zones 🔅 cultural dimensions in various scales 🔅 a roundtable with a diverse group of experts 🔅 and 8000 words Our book chapter is going to be part of a broader discussion on AI and culture and would be published by the Edward Elgar Publishing UK. We crafted a framework on how to rethink content moderation from a feminist perspective. ⏏ Where can AI better assist us in mitigating the threats of content moderation? ⏏ What role do cultural dimensions play in content moderation frameworks? As a reminder, the landscape of AI and social media is reliant on content moderation. Therefore, our work will continue by expanding the cultural dimension to include global majority countries - stay tuned! This is a shout out to our network to exchange thoughts about potential collaboration on the topic of ➡ RETHINKING CONTENT MODERATION TO RECLAIM SOCIAL MEDIA. It has been a pleasure collaborating with Payal Padhy (Ethical AI consultant at @femai_centerfeministai ) for the past five months. Despite never meeting in person, the connection we've developed feels like we would be neighbours! Only the picture created by DALL-E is unfortunately not very close... 😁 Personally, this journey has taught us the art of respectful disagreement with the shared goal of constructing a robust framework. We believe this is how we need to move ahead in a highly fractured and polarising future. #contentModeration #femAI #bookChapterSubmission

What happened in the last three months? Ich bin überglücklich, wenn ich mir das erste Quartal ansehe! Damn 💯 Wir haben richtig coole Projekte umgesetzt, und genauso coole Projekte in der Pipeline. Cool = feministisch, zukunftsgerichtet, innovativ, und ja, auch ein bisschen mutig - schließlich soll sich etwas ändern!
